Engineering Technician III

Yakima County Engineering Technician III  

Pay Range: $30.16 - $38.25 per hour (Engineering Pay Plan ENG25 Step 1-13) Hiring Range: $30.10 - $32.01 per hour (Engineering Pay Plan ENG25 Step 1-4 DOQ)  

There is one Engineering Technician III opening with the Yakima County Roads Traffic Division. This position serves as a technical representative for County Road’s within the County Development Review System, reviews road approach applications, short plats, long plats and engineering documents for private developments for compliance with County Design Standards, assists the Planning Division in reviewing applications for Land Use Actions; and provides technical information to the public.  

Education & Experience: Associate's Degree or two-year technical certificate in Civil Engineering Technology AND five (5) years of relevant work experience in area of assignment of which includes one (1) year of work as a lead; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
